REHOME A RACEHORSE AUSTRALIA X PUNTERS WARDROBE X WILLIAM PIKE IN 2021

Punters Wardrobe collaborated with both Rehome A Racehorse Australia & William Pike to grow awareness and raise some much needed funds. Punters Wardrobe were made aware of this charity through William’s wife, Jess, who notified us of Rehome A Racehorse’s outstanding work!

Rehome A Racehorse Australia was set up to help guide and assist trainers/owners in finding their recently retired racehorse a new, enjoyable and safe home after racing! It is a truly amazing charity with some remarkably strong and passionate horse racing people spearheading the operation!

Jess (William’s Wife), Informed us that ReHome A Racehorse Australia had recently taken on board a malnourished 10yo gelding (Chance) who desperately needed help in surviving from his previous terrors which led to him being in this poor state.

William Pike pledged to donate $500 as well as an additional $500 for every winner he rode on Saturday 17th April 2021 at Caulfield. Pikey saluted on 3 occasions (So Si Bon, Sisstar & Laverrod) and he donated $2,000 to Rehome A Racehorse Australia.

Punters Wardrobe pledged to donate 20% of ALL PROFITS made on our “Back Pike, Drink What You Like” Collection for the month of April 2021 as well as donating $50 for every winner that William Pike rode on Saturday 17th April 2021 at Caulfield. Punters Wardrobe donation tally hit $320 and was donated to Re Home A Racehorse Australia!

Collectively, Pikey & Punters Wardrobe raised $2,320 for ReHome A Racehorse Australia as well as promoting and bringing awareness to a very worthy, needy cause for the general public to jump on board and support! Through everyone’s collective efforts, Rehome A Racehorse Australia were able to save “Chance” and his rating improved dramatically from a 0.5 to a rating of 5 in just a couple of months (Photos Below).

You can find all of Rehome A Racehorse Australia’s details below. Punters Wardrobe would love and appreciate all our customers and followers to get behind this monumentally important cause. Without people organisations such as : Rehome A Racehorse Australia, the game we all love and enjoy would simply be ineffective and unsustainable.

Epilepsy Foundation x Punters Wardrobe x Tommy Berry

In 2021, Punters Wardrobe collaborated with both the Epilepsy Foundation & Tommy Berry in honour of the late Nathan Berry to grow awareness and raise much needed funds for Epilepsy research.

In April 2014, The Berry family, close friends, peers and the entire racing community were rocked by the sudden passing of Nathan Berry at just 23 years of age. While riding in Singapore for racing folklore, Michael Freedman, Nathan was struck down by a rare and acute form of Epilepsy named Norse Syndrome. The weight of Nathan’s passing still holds true today however, we will always remember him fondly in our hearts

So, what is Epilepsy? Epilepsy is a neurological disorder that affects the brain and causes seizures. Worldwide, approximately 65 million people suffer from Epilepsy. At the moment around 250,000 Australians, or 1% of our population, live with Epilepsy.

Punters Wardrobe pledged to donate 20% of ALL PROFITS made on our “Tommy Berry, That Was Legendary” Collection for the month of April 2021 as well as donating $50 for every winner that Tommy rode across the fortnight of The Championships where the jockey who accumulated the most points in the Group events would receive The Nathan Berry Medal.

Tommy saluted on 4 occasions over the fortnight with Kiku, Art Cadeau, Jamaica & Group 1 glory on Nettoyer in the “Queen Of The Turf”. Punters Wardrobe donation tally hit $320 and was donated to the Epilepsy Foundation.

You can find all of the Epilepsy Foundations details below. Punters Wardrobe would love and appreciate all our customers and followers to get behind the Epilepsy Foundation. Epilepsy is a condition that affects a large number of Australians and it is incredibly paramount that we, as a community start a conversation and raise awareness for this important cause.
